Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was visiting california and got involved with a guy and had a baby now his family wont let me leave california and go home. His family said they would have me arrested if I leave. Is there any hope for me I need to go home to my family. I live in a travel trailer with my son, and work as a waitress. I am all alone. somebody help me please.My babies dad is very abusive, and has money I have nothing and yet he pays no child support. He says the reason there isn't going to be any money is because he makes me take the baby to his parents 3 times a week.I would be homeless but a friend lets me live in her trailer for now.

Contact a local domestic violence center. If you live in a small community and are afraid to contact the domestic violence help group go to a nearby large city. You need to document the domestic violence. If you can get a domestic violence restraining order it will be easier to get a court order allowing you to move out of the state. There are numerous groups that provide free legal representation in cases of abuse. You definitely need legal help in this matter.
