Legal Question in Family Law in California
I left my husband a few months ago, I took little with me, and he moved out of the place we were in without notifying me of the date of move, he now claims I took all my things with me, however he moved in with his parents and i know most of the stuff is in their home and in storage. However, I seme to only be able to get access to storage, what about his parents home, where he is hiding most of my things. What are my rights?

If you believe that the personal items and community items are at his parents home, then you would need a court order to allow you to go over there and make a list of the items so that they can be returned. Typically the parties will allow time for each other to go through the items and make a list of the items they want returned or given to them. They will exchange those lits and then argue about who gets what in personal property arbitration.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
