Legal Question in Family Law in California

Does he have a leg to stand on???

My old boyfriend is trying to get custody of my son... What right does he have if any. I had a blood test done in 1985 which disproved him as legal father. I have taken care of my son for 15 years and now he wants into his life. I say not now or never. he has a stepfather already he doesn't need another man in his life. he will be taken me to court next year, 2000. Do i have to go??? Does he have any legal recourse in getting custudy of my son?? Should I get a lawyer?? Do I need one??What happens if i don't show up??

Help !!!!

The boy friend doest have a leg to stand on but you must respond to any legal papers you get and you do need a lawyer. if you dont show up you will lose your child.
