Legal Question in Family Law in California
Legal age for financial responsibility
Our son is 23 (not in school) and we have been told in California we can be held legally and financially responsible for his actions until age 24. Is this true?

Re: Legal age for financial responsibility
Financial responsibility for a child nromally ends at age 18, unless the child is a full student in high school, then responsibility extends to 19. There is however, a code section that provides that parents are responsible for their adult children that are unable to support themselve and the parent is able to pay support.
