Legal Question in Family Law in California

legal custody

I have no legal custody of our child; I have visitations only. Our child's coach approached me to sign a waiver required for out child to play soccer. Can I sign a waiver for our child to participate in a sport with no legal custody?

Re: legal custody

If you do not have legal custody you should not sign the forms. However, sole legal custody is unusual. FAX me a copy of the custody order and I can give you better advice. Pat McCrary
