Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have legal custody & physical custody awarded by a judge, I went with the police yesterday to get him from the home he refused to go and the police did nothing the mother wasn't there. What do i do now? My son wont go to school is doing drugs and his mother wont lift a finger to help, she is a alcoholic and druggy. Can I go to the judge because they violated a court order?

You need to call the police department and talk to the desk Captain or another member of the police department management team about the need to have police standby with you to pick up your son. The poilce will need to see a copy of the current custody order confirming your son is court ordered to be in your physical custody.
