Does a legal document have to be signed by a judge, or can it be stamped with a printed name?

Some judges have stamps. If you are worried about authenticating your legal forms, you should call the clerk in the courtroom and ask if the judge uses stamp for documents.

It can be stamped. Look in the upper right hand corner of the first page of your document - there should be a stamp by the Court confirming that the original document was filed on a particular date. You can also check the court file to see if the original document is there.
