legal guardian versus physical custody and child support

My son lives with both his legal guardian and his father......who needs to file for child support?

Your question doesn't make any sense. If the father has primary custody of the child, why is there a legal guardian? It seems if I took your question at face value, I'd have to guess that the father, since he has physical custody of the child could seek support from the mother. But I am not sure because you claim that the child has a legal guardian, which, of course doesn't seem to make sense.
