Legal Question in Family Law in California
Is it legal for my husband to not allow me to leave the house with our kids? Not leave the house permanently but for a few minutes when I need time away from him. When kids do want to go with me he says they cant and even if they run into the car he drags them out. Is it legal to keep a mother from being with her kids???

Occasionally we hear about one of these medieval marriages. I bet he doesn't let you have any money of your own either. Take the kids the next time you go out, and if he touches you, call 911.

He is already guilty of "harassment" under the domestic violence restraining order statutes. You have a right to have him removed from the house and kept away from you and the kids.
