Legal Question in Family Law in California

If I have legal and physical custody of my son, and reside in california and want to move out of state and have had no contact with the father for 7 years and my paper work states te country of residence is the united states can I move with out his permission?

Filing an Order to Show Cause so that the custody and visitation order that you have signed by a judge reflects what is actually being exercised would be a good idea.
