legal separation

I separeted by my husband and I want to know what are the steps to start a legal separation. Also I need to know if I want to buy a house is this going to be considerred a common property at a divorce?

He does not have a job (for a year an a half) right now, what are his chances to get alimony?

Re: legal separation

Filing for legal separation, is similar to filing for divorce, (dissolution of marriage petition). Property acquired after separtion is separate property unless community funds were used to purchase it. Your husband may be entitled to spousal support if you have been supporting him. But support soes not last indefinately. Please call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
