Legal Question in Family Law in California

Legal Seperation

I have submitted the second set of paperwork to my husband regarding custody and child support and he says he cannot afford even 400 a month. If he does not sign the paperwork due to this, what does this mean? Will the paperwork still get filed with the courts? I am doing this through legal aid.

Re: Legal Seperation

Support orders are not made based on what someone can afford. They take into consideration time share, income and some other factors. If you came up with $400 after running a DissoMaster, and the information is correct, then he has no choice. You can always go through DCSS if he does not come around.
