Legal Question in Family Law in California

I don't believe she was legally divorced

We got married almost 7 years ago and I don't think she was legally divorce when we got married. Now I am looking at divorcing her and she want to fight the divorce. Do I have any options with this, or should I just give in and give her everything she wants? Please do not call my home or mail me anything on this, because she will intercept it on me, just e-mail me back with any help you can give me.

Thank you

If she wasn't legally divorced, then you can file for an annulment rather than a divorce. There are other options you have. You're entitled to half of whatever property you acquired during the marriage. Without knowing more about your situation, I don't know what other legal rights you may have, but you shouldn't just give in.

not only do you have options here, but you clearly have legal rights you can assert.

email me and let me know what she wants, why you feel she was not legally divorced when you married her, as well as if you two have children and what assets you both have. i will then be able to further evaluate all of your legal options and rights and assist you in your divorce if you would like.
