Legal Question in Family Law in California

Legally married with name change

My wife is filing for divorce. The name she uses is not her real name but has used it for at least 5 years and dl, credit accts. but not ss# are under this name she chose. She never filed paper work to legally change her name.

The question is she was married before under her real name. Is our marriage legal under her assumed name if no divorce was final under her real name.

Re: Legally married with name change

If she was married under ANY name when she married you, your marriage is voidable, possibly void.
