Legal Question in Family Law in California

Is there a letter to resign power of attorney? I live in California and my grandmother (whom I have the POA for) lives in Washington; are there any special precautions I should take aside from a Notary?

You don't need to resign a power of attorney. All you do is decline to exercise it. Absent other agreements and/or documentation, the grant of a power of attorney carries no obligation to use it. If your grandmother is counting on you, however, you should make sure she knows you will not exercise the power and she should recind it and grant a new one to someone who will do as she wishes.
