Legal Question in Family Law in California

Am I liable for his child support payments, because I support him?

We are in Califorina. I've been paying our rent, his car payment, utilities and I live with him. He doesn't work. He's been borrowing the money from me and may be working in the future, but for now, he is not working and I fear that because I support him, the State will come after me for his child support payments. Help!

If you are married then your income is community property and the court could order that community property be used for child support. If you are not married then there is no community property and he has no interest in your income. Consult with an attorney about your situation.
