Legal Question in Family Law in California

after listening to my son's girlfriend for 40 min cuse yell and scream I had had it I came out of my room telling her to shut her mouth or go in her room. I had been hiding out for 2 wk because of her mouth, I stoped 6 ft from her she jumped up rushed 1 1/2 in from my nose she has done this before, so fearing she was going to hit me again I pushed her out of my face she can back swinging, I went to hospital with bruses I strained neck, now she has a civil harassment ro out on me tomarrow we go to court, this is her way of keeping me from my grandchild she says what can I do to defend myself and get the RO dissmisted. She had told my son she is doing this so I can not see the 6 yr old anymore. her had threatened to take away my grandchild. Can nyou help me what is my best defence to get this squashed?

Ask for a continuance and then contact an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney ask the court to appoint an attorney. you need your medical records showing your injuries. Next time this happens call the police.
