Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in ca. and want to file for divorce but my spouse says he will never sign, can i procede without his signature?

You don't need his signature to obtain a dissolution of marriage in California. California has been a "no fault" jurisdiction since 1975. Either spouse may file a petition for dissolution of marriage.
