I live in CA. If x moves to UT, is our custody agreement void

It is not automatically void as a matter of law, but it may become unenforceable or it may be deemed modified, or it may be deemed breached, or. . . You don't provide enough information really to say more. Two key things would be whether the agreement has been turned into a custody order yet, and whether the ex intends to take the kids or just move themselves. Details are key.
