Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California. My divorce was final in August 2010. As part of the settlement, I am to get $225,000 plus 10% interest upon the sale of a house. There was an AOJ filed indicating the $225,000 but the 10% was not noted. My divorce attorney said that that was automatic. Is this true?

Divorce judgments are legal judgments. All legal judgments bear legal interest, as a matter of law. That rate is 10%.
