Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California. I was married over 10 years. My ex has been paying support. He is now requesting I file an Income and Expense report. I have a new job and sure I no longer qualify for support. Can I just tell him to do what he has to to end support and I won't contest it? Are there other factors I am not considering? What if I should lose this job. Can I then go back to court to get support re-instated.
