The factors to consider embedded in the family code are: length of the marriage, age of the parties, health history, earning capacity and standard of living during the course of the marriage. In your case, the marriage is considered lengthy since it is over 10 years. You need to meet with an experienced family law attorney to properly assess your legal options.
