Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California and want to move to Texas with my kids, I have a job transfer there and family there. Can my husband keep me from moving out of state?

Maybe, maybe not. Move-away cases are legally and factually complicated, and ultimately up to the discretion of the judge who decides the matter. There is absolutely no way even to guess the outcome of any particular move-away application based on an internet question. You will have to consult a qualified family law attorney in your area.

He cannot stop you personally from relocating but your husband can request from the court that the children reside with him in California. You need to confer with an experienced family law attorney to determine your legal options.
