Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California and would like to move with my 4yr daughter to Arizona. I have full legal and physical custody, and at this time got a restraining order against her father good for 3yrs. There is no visitations set and I would like to know if I am free to be able to move? Also on our decoration it does not mention anything about me not being able to move or visit anywhere.

You are usually free to move. However you would need to provide notice to the other party. He has a right to take you back to court to prevent the move away if it would harm visitation with his children. However if he hasn't been doing any visituation then he probably would not care if you moved farther away.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
