Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California, San Diego county, I have recently divorced back in march of this year, I have a 5 year restraining order and a 3 year criminal protection order against my ex husband and was awarded full physical and legal custody of both my sons. He is to have no contact not even by email with any of us until he can show the courts he has gone through the various steps to ensure no harm will come to my children. Can I legally move out of state to Arizona?

You most likely would be able to move out of the state. However, to be safe I would probably run it through the courts first or check with the custody order you have in place to see if a move away is addressed in the order. It might be a safer bet to file a motion and request a move away to have the court clear that before you move.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
