Legal Question in Family Law in California

I live in California and have sole physical custody of my 7 year old daughter. My ex and I have joint legal custody. He has been stationed overseas (Europe) in the military for nearly 6 years (by choice). I divorced him because he was abusive to me and our daughter. I was told years ago that I can't get a restraining order because he lives overseas. I am wondering if I have to provide him with our physical address, and if I have to let him know where we are at any given time when he demands to know. There have been times when he talks to our daughter and we aren't home. He will demand to know the exact location of where we are at, and has even called the cops and asked for a child welfare check when I've refused to tell him. He has threatened me over the phone in the past, and has said that he is flying back to the US, so I fear him and what he might do. I do not feel comfortable giving him this info, especially when he angrily demands to know. I'm also wondering if I have a chance at getting full legal custody, or at least some type of restraining order. He has never participated in education, medical, or other issues relating to our daughter. He sees her about once a year in person, and has weekly webcam visits with her. He is moving back to the US in a few months, and I'm very worried about this.

You need to consult with a family law attorney to review all the facts of your case and give you specific legal advice. General advice and information you will receive in a forum such as this will not be sufficient.
