I live in concord,ca. I have temporary custody of my nephew who is still award of San Bernardino,ca child services. His social worker in la has not transfer his medical to this county. My nephew has not been able to take the meds he needs to function to stay focus. The court of San Bernardino county order for psychotropic medication that was approved. Its has been one year now still my 17 yr old foster child/nephew has not been able to get his meds. He has been suspended from school eleven times last year and now again the first week of school. I have been to the emergency's, still can't get his meds since he is award of the court which is 464.69 miles away. I have been through hell and back. My nephew has too. He is 17 years old, Bipolar, ADHD disorder. I have since quite my job because sometimes IM scared for his life not knowing what he might do. I can't leave my home because I want to make sure he is OK and wont hurt himself. He tells me why do I feel like IM going crazy. This was his social worker not doing her job or my nephew would of got the medical attention he needs when I first got custody of him which has been a year and two months. My foster child has a medical passport that would make anyone cry if read. His social worker has not even read it. I believe this women is on serious drugs, how many foster children is this San Bernardino social worker for foster services not doing her job and most importantly not getting the care these foster children need because of her doings... I have wasted a year of my life everyday going through extreme stress due to this. I lost a six yr relationship as well as my job. My foster child has lost more. I need help. I need some legal advise please.

You need to get a Court Appointed Special Advocate for him. Contact the Contra Costa branch of CalCASA at www.cccocasa.org. They may need to refer you to the San Bernardino CASA branch, but start there.
