Legal Question in Family Law in California

can i live with my dad?

I'm 17 years old.My mom says she has full custody of me and my siblings, but she and my dad aren't divorced, only legally separated. I don't want to live with her, I want to live with my father.If he comes and picks me up, is it considered kidnapping? Could I be considered a runaway? And is it ok for me to live with him?

I would greatly appreciate any answers.

Your Dad can ask the court to change the custody order and the court will strongly consider your wishes and probably make the requested change. Until there is a change in the order your Dad cannot take you outside of what the current order states or with your Mother's permission. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
