Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi, I have been living with my girlfriend for 15 yrs we have to kids. I bought some properties only under my name.I bought the properties when we were living togehter. We are planning on a separation but She is asking me for 50% of everything I have. We live in CA what do I have to give her legally.

Nothing unless you entered into a "Marvin" contract. You will probably end up paying child support and get into custody and visitation disputes.

Since no marriage, then no rights to property. If she wanted half, then there should have been a marriage. There is a simple exception, the Marvin action, but then she would have to prove a "marriage contract" implied. Those are generally not very likely.

The only thing the court would be concerned with is the 2 children and child support.
