Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello I have been living with my partner for 17 years. We are not married. I own the home we live in. He is not on the mortgage. He has not worked or contributed to the expenses in the past 10 years. He is the father of our son. I want to end the relationship and have him move out. I need to know how to get him to leave my home.

If he has not paid or contributed anything, he is not a tenant and can be removed by simply telling him to move and calling the police or sherrif if he won't. If he has done anything that would entitle him to claim the status of a tenant or border, then you must give him 60-days notice, again followed by police action if he refuses.
