Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am living in the Santa Clara county, is it possible to terminate the fathers rights if both parents agree on it. Agreeing in no relationship with child and father does not pay any financial support just as long the father stays away. Does another "father figure" have to adopt the child? The mother makes enough to suppor both her and her child.

No. Any agreement between parents giving up their rights to avoid paying child support would be void as a matter of law.
