How long does a divorce take?

My husband is in jail and we have two kids I want a divorce where do I get the papers and how long, much does it take.

You can have the papers filled out by going to the Family Law Facilitators Office at your local courthouse. This is a free service.

You can find the forms at accesslaw. You need Accrobat reader to fill out the forms. After the forms are filled out you can print them out.

Then file the papers with the court. Serve him with a copy of the filed petition, summons and property statement. The earliset the marriage can be disolved is 6 months after he is personally served.
