Legal Question in Family Law in California

How long should it be before a judgement is entered?

I was in court for the last time on May 10 2002. The judge specified then the terms of the dissolution, I was asked the standard questions by my attorney, and the judge declared this marriage dissolved.

I checked the court records and no judgement has been entered. Checking with my attorney he stated that he forwarded the paperwork to 'her' attorney. I can't get ahold of either attorney.

Now what? Is there a way I can do this myself? How do I get the judgement filled out, signed and entered?

thank you.

Rick

I would suggest that you put your attorney on your speed dial and call each morning and each evening. You appear to be in San Diego County and if your attorney does not recieve a reply from the opposing attorney he can submit the judgment directly to the court, so there is no reason for a delay.
