How long does someone have to respond after a notice of motion is filed.

Response deadline is driven by the hearing date, not the date of filing the motion.

Normally an opposition is due nine (9) court days before the scheduled hearing on the motion. I say normally, because the court can shorten time on motions, and specify an earlier or even later time.
