Legal Question in Family Law in California

I would love to give my last name to my son.

I filed for domestic violence and visitations against my sons mom & boyfriend. The judge ordered them classes of domestic violence, and granted me visitations. I would love to give my last name to my son. How can i do that when i don't even have custody of him?

you can do it through the courts. it might be a good idea to establish a significant relationship with your son first--assuming you haven't done so already.
