Legal Question in Family Law in California
Lying ex-wife awarded my car I've had since before marraige
I purchased a 1963 Cadillac before I was married.I have spent countless hours & money restoring/customizing it.It has not been running for 1year now due to financial difficulty from the divorce.I also have 2 vintage street bikes that don't run, and a '96 Chevy Truck (the only vehicle that works). In Dec. 2003, our divorce was final and my wife went into court and said I had four operational vehicles (LIE) and she had none, so the judge awarded her the caddy. She told me outside of court that she would never take it.Since then, she's lost custody of our two girls (age 5 & 3-I have full custody)due to numerous drug offenses, gotten remarried to some multi-felon, and purchased a new truck. On June 2, 2004 I came home and found my caddy was gone, my garage door was smashed in, and a note saying my ex-wife was taking HER car, according to the court order from back in December (Apparantly the caddy slipped off the tow truck ramp and plowed into the garage door). I called the police, but they wouldn't send someone out here because they said it was a court issue. What should I do?I bought the caddy before we were married (I have proof) and we were only married for 3 years. She goes to jail for 3 mos. TODAY!! PLEASE HELP me get my baby back!

You need to move quickly to set aside the order awarding her the car. Generally, you have only 6 months. Retain an attorney, TODAY! You may call me at (619)589-8533 for a free telephone consultation. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
