Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi, I made a appointment for mediation going on Sep 13 2011 as I do have only everyoher weekend with my daughter but will be requesting moe time with my daughter, I will be asking for every wednesday and some of holidays with my daughte, her father threatens me that he will ask for full custody, is that even possible? He has told my daugter lies and she comes over crying asking me if it's true. it breaks ny heart to hear that he is munipulating her with lies, also my daughter is 8yrs of age. and has been living with her father for the past 3 yrs.

Unless there is something that makes you an unfit parent or a danger to the child, he will never get sole custody with no visitation. Beyond that, what will happen depends on a) whether you and the father can reach an agreement, and if not, then b) what the court thinks would be in the best interests of the child.
