Legal Question in Family Law in California
marrage fraud
My ex-spouse recently passed away and suring his family's estate settlement it was discovered he was married to somebody else at the time of our marrage. I would like to recover what the court mandated I pay him (6 months ago). What are my options? Thanks

Re: marrage fraud
The general rule is that the innocent party, you, would be treated as though there was a valid marriage. The same would not apply to a non innocent party. Cases such as this the facts and conduct of parties determines the outcome.
