Are you talking about your date of separation or the date that you want the paperwork to be filed or the date you want your divorce to be final.
This gratuitous response does not create an attorney client relationship. The advice provided herein is generic, may not apply to your circumstances and is not to be relied upon in your actions. An attorney client relationship is created only upon execution of an engagement letter or retainer agreement hiring me or my firm
Mr. Laurie asks a very important clarification question. I would also add that it would now be virtually impossible to obtain a final judgment of dissolution of marriage by December 31 this year, since there is a statutory six-months hold from when the respondent is served before a judgment can be entered. So you would only have a matter of days to get the case filed and served, and even then having everything done and moved through the court in time is extremely unlikely to occur.
You can't control when the judge is going to enter the judgment of dissolution.
