Legal Question in Family Law in California

marriage and fraud

I was married for almost 18 years when my husband decided to announce one morning that he was leaving. When I asked him ''don't you love me anymore'', he replied--I never loved you.'' My husband is a native of Italy and I helped him build his career as a physician. I am currently going through a divorce. I did not discuss this with my attorney earlier because the shock of it all is finally starting to wear off to the point where I can think about things...for example how he didn't want a honeymoon, etc. I filed for divorce in April of 2007. Is it possible for me to amend my complaint and allege fraud?

Re: marriage and fraud

Since it is about 18 years...it will be hard to allege fraud but there are other ways to bring those facts. Did you sponsor him for greencard? Where is your case?
