Marriage

I live in Los Angeles, CA. My husband and I were married in California several years ago. However, we separated about a year ago. My husband died recently. Upon reviewing marriage papers, I discovered our marriage license was never submitted or filed in the County Registrar's Office. Are we legally married.

This question is more complex than it appears on its face. A number of facts are required to respond. For example who failed the submit the marriage to the county clerk. If it was the individual performing the marriage your marriage is valid. You should consult with an attorney.
