Re: Marriage and preious debt
Typically a spouse is not responsible for the other spouses debts incurred before marriage. However a creditor often goes after both parties in a marriage for debts. I would make sure the creditor is aware of the nature of the separate property character of the debt.
As always please consult with a local attorney prior to taking any legal action
Good luck,
