Legal Question in Family Law in California
If I was married in California in 2006, my divorce was done in Oregon in 2008 and I got married to someone else in California in 2010 is my divorce in 2008 valid in California? and is my 2nd marriage in California valid?

If your divorce in Oregon was fully completed, valid and final under Oregon law, before your California second marriage, the second marriage is perfectly valid. Every state accepts the divorce judgments of all the other states, and most other countries as well. As long as a divorce is valid in the jurisdiction in which it is rendered, California almost invariably acknowledges it.
I agree with Mr. McCormick. I write separately to point out that a divorce is valid if the judge in Oregon granted the divorce, and terminated your marital status. You must have an actual judgment terminating your prior marital status. Some people think they are divorced simply from the filing of the paperwork to commence a divorce, which is not true.
