Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been married to my husband for 5 months. Now he wants a divorce. Am I still entitled to 1/2 of the house, car, etc. We never signed a pre-nup. We have been together for 3 years but only married for 5 months.

You are not necessarily entitled to 1/2 of the house, car, etc. Your community property rights are based on the time that you were married (5 months). Since your marriage was so short-lived, you should consult a family law attorney to determine whether it would be advantageous for you and your husband to file a joint petition for summary dissolution.
