Legal Question in Family Law in California
I been married since 2003; and my husband has thrown me and my children out of the house and kept the furniture. I want to file for divorce and child support. He also has another house which his mistress live in with the kids by my husband. I like to know what are my rights before I proceed with my divorce. Also is there a law called Jump Off?

I am very sorry to hear of your predictament. You are entitled to half of the community property and support based upon the length of the marriage. Child support is also to be paid to the custodial parent. Contact me directly.
I would have to write you a treatise on Family Law to tell you all your rights. If your husband has thrown you out, you need legal representation right away to get temporary custody, child support and spousal support orders in place. You are also probably entitled to an immediate initial distribution of community assets to get yourself back on your feet. Lastly, if your husband makes significantly more than you, is holding all the assets, or has separate property assets, there is a good possiblity that you can get an order that he reimburse you for part or all of your attorneys fees. My office is in Walnut Creek and I have a conference facility in Pleasant Hill. I would be happy to provide an initial consultation at no cost.
