Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have only been married since Jan 9th 2009. A month after I got married, I resigned from my job, due to the fact I relocated to where my husband was residing. 2 months later he wanted me to move out, due to the fact that my son was not his, when he knew 2 days before our wedding day, that my son was not his, but decided to still marry me.

He is now refusing to take care of me, or provide me with any money, even though we are still married.

When I file for divorce, can I request spousal support? He pretty much lied to me and told me he would always take care of me, so believing him, i quit my job. And due to this I am struggling to take care of my 2 children.

Can anyone help me?? I am planning on filing for divorce next week.

Should I get an attorney, or should I just have an attorney speak on my behalf at court.

Yes you can still ask for spousal suupport and the traditional remedies that are available for a divorce, however you must be aware that the very short duration of your marriage will mean your property rights will be minimal at best.
