if I was never married but lived with someone until two yrs ago , what rights do they have to my property ?

Unless you are married, there are no property rights acquired simply from living together. California does not recognize common law marriages, unless from another state.

If you were not married, they acquire no rights just because you lived together. However, if you purchased property of any kind together, then they may have rights to it.
