Legal Question in Family Law in California

If you get married in Mexico, is it legal here ?

I just found out that my boyfriend of 3 years is married. He says he was married in TJ Mexico. Does this mean that his marriage is legal here in the US and where and how can he get a divorce?

Re: Mexico

If your "husband's" marriage was valid under Mexican law, it is valid here. If that is the case, you are entitled to have the marriage annulled. You may seek additional relief if you did not know of his prior marriage at the time you married him.

Yes, it is legal here. He can get divorced in CA or Mexico and the divorce will also be legal here.
