Legal Question in Family Law in California

California recognizes marriages entered into from other jurisdictions, including Mexico. I'm assuming that your marriage complied with Mexican law, and is not bigamous or incestuous.

I suggest at least speaking to a family law attorney, or reading Nolo Press' do it yourself divorce book, which is available in most law libraries, and some public libraries as well.
