Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am married to a military man and i am seeking a divorce from him on grounds of miss trust/protection Its kind of a long story .But he allowed a former soilder to have sex with me why i was pass out..He has to send me money every month due to BAH. in the amount of $588.50. He wrote me today and said that He will no longer have any contact from me and that I have to contact his attorney to talk about the case. I thinking this is a bad decision for my part. I left him in November and moved to California with a friend I was from Oklahoma and he from Texas. I really dont want to tell his lawyer were I am as a phyiscal address due to the fact he is also a military attorney. So what should i do I have little money for attorney. I just need advice what should i do

I would contact a local attorney to hire your own attorney. One of the benefits of having an attorney is that you don't' have to use your address for communications. The lawyer will be the point of reference for all communications. The next best thing would be to use a PO box or a friends address for communications. The difficult thing is that in some instances you need to be personally served.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
